A Posset (Poshotte) was a hot British drink made of milk curdled with citrus juice ,often spiced with cinnamon/nutmeg powder.which was popular and used as a cold and flue remedy , now days it is known as modern dessert.It is very easy to make and it can prepared in advance.
For cream layer
- Heavy cream-1/2 cup
- Condensed milk-1/2 cup
- Honey – 2 tbsp(as per taste)
- Fresh orange juice-1 cup
- Lemon juice-2 tsp
- Cinnamon/nutmeg powder-1/2 tsp
- Vanilla essance-1 tsp
For Topping- Fruit layer
- Blueberry -1/2 cup
- Lemon juce-1/2 tsp
- Honey-1 tsp
- Mint leaves
- Lemon slice
Step 1- Take heavy cream and condensed milk in saucepan cook 2-3 minutes till it soft boil on medium heat with stirring , remove from heat. Add nutmeg powder and vanilla essence mix it and cover it keep aside.
Step 2-In other sauce pan take orange juice and lemon juice and boil it 1-2 minutes remove from heat and add honey and mix well.
Step 3- Mix cream in to orange juice sauce pan and stir it properly and strain it with the help of strainer. Pour mixture into two glass bowl and cover it keep in room temperature for 2-3 hours till set then keep in refrigerator for 2-3 hour.
Step 4-Ina saucepan take blue berry,lemon juice and cook 2-3 minutes,remove from heat and add honey mix it keep aside.
Step 5-Take out Posset from refrigerator. Put blueberry on top of Posset and garnish with strawberry,lemon slice and mint leaves . Enjoy chilled flavored Posset with cookies.
