Delicious, flavored, moist orange cake made with fresh orange juice.It is perfect for morning breakfast/snack time. Orange cake is is rich fragrant cake and also no need frosting . Simple orange syrup/ Icing sugar dusting both goes wonderfully with orange cake.
- All purpose flour – 1.5cup
- Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1/4tsp/1 pinch
- Olive oil – 3 tbsp
- Condensed milk-1/2 cup
- Baking soda- 1/2 tsp
- Fresh orange juice – 1 cup
- Icing sugar-2 tbsp
- Orange zest-1 tsp
- Vanilla essence/cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
Step 1 – Preheat oven to 350F/180C for 10 minutes. Line cake pan with parchment paper. Boil orange juice and sugar 1 minute and keep aside.
Step 2 – In bowl take olive oil, condensed milk, boiled orange juice mix well till fluffy.Add vanilla essence/cinnamon powder,orange zest and keep aside.
Step 3 – Sieve flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder in a separate bowl.
Step 4 – Add dry mixture into wet mixture and mix until just combined ,( if need add little hot water) and mix ( do not over mix batter).
Step 5 – Pour batter on lined cake pan .
Step 6 – Place pan on oven, bake it 20-25 minutes till it becomes golden brown. Check with toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.
Step 7 – Cool it for 10 minutes. Cut in to any shape and dust with icing sugar/ pour 1 tbsp orange syrup/honey.
