Gulkand(rose petal jam) is a sweet preserve of rose petals.Gulkand is very popular in Ayurveda and Indian cousin.Rose gulkand is good for digetion.
Ingredients-
- Rose petals – 2 cup
- Sugar –1/2 cup
- Fennel seed(crushed)-1/2 tsp
Method
Step 1 -Take petals, and sugar in blander make smooth puree.
Step 2-Take one saucepan and add puree and cook it for 8-10 minutes in medium flame with stirring. Add fennel seed and cook 2-3 more minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
Step 3 – Pour Rose Gulkand in sterilized bottle. Store in a cool, dark place/refrigerator .

We get beautiful smelling roses here in Bangalore, and I buy them just because I cannot get enough of that gorgeous smell! I didn’t know making gulkand was so simple – I have never tried it out at home, always buy it off a supermarket shelf. Now, I will try making it at home. Thanks for this easy recipe! 🙂
