Fantail Rolls is a type of pull- apart layered bread. In fantail rolls each layer puffed up and make gorgeous look.It is a one of soft bread and perfect for appetizer.
- All purpose flour –1.5cup
- Yeast-2 tsp (instant)
- Salt-1/2 tsp
- Sugar-1 tsp
- Olive oil-3 tbsp
- Buttermilk-1/2 cup
- Garlic salt-1/2 tsp(optional)
- Fresh Rosemary
- Dried oragano-1/2 tsp
- Dried Basil-1/2 tsp
Step 1 – In a bowl take warm water, sugar, yeast and mix then keep aside for 5 minutes. Add 2 tbsp flour mix on it and keep aside for another 5 minutes. After that add buttermilk and mix well.
Step 2 – Take flour in one bowl add salt, and yeast mixture then mix it well. Knead it for 5 minutes then add olive oil and kneed 5 minutes. Add all herbs, and mix it proper then kneed for 5-10 minutes. Cover dough and keep aside for 1 hour.
Step 3 – Mix crushed garlic, cilantro in olive oil, keep aside for brushing.
Step 4 – After 1 hour open dough, it will rise and become double-triple in size. Punch it, cut dough in 4. Take one part dough and roll on rolling board with the help of rolling pin into square.
Step 5 – Use any knife/ cutter and cut it into 12 pieces.Make 4 set from 12 piece.place it on small round shaped cake tin.Brush with olive oil .Cover it with cling film ,keep aside for 45 minutes.
Step 6 – Preheat oven to 350f/180c for 10 minutes.
Step 7 – lace tin on preheat oven for15-20 minutes till golden brown.
- Resting period is very important do not avoid it.
- You can garnish with extra cilantro and butter/any cheese/Red chili flakes.
