Sheer Khurma is a originated dish from Hyderabad,India.It is popular festive (Eid)dish in Muslims .Sheer khurma is made with milk, vermicelli,dates and other dry fruits.
Ingredients ( serving-4 )
- Milk – 1 liter
- Vermicelli seviyan-1/2 cup
- Ghee -2 tsp(optional)
- Saffron – Some threads
- Cardamon powder – 1tsp
- Sugar – 4-5 tbsp
- Rose water – 1 tsp (Optional)
- Dates-8-10 chopped,lengthwise
- Almond – 8 to 10,chopped lengthwise
- Cashew nut – 8 to 10
- Raisins – 10 to 15
Method
Step 1- Soak saffron-in 1tsp milk keep aside.
Step 2 -Heat deep nonstick pan add 2 tsp ghee and roast cashew nut and almond till golden keep aside in same pan,also fry dates and keep aside. Add Vermicelli roast it 2-3 minutes till golden brown, then add milk and boil it,after boiling reduce flame and cook 2 minutes with continuous stirring,add sugar and mix it proper.Add raisins and cook 4 minutes then add saffron milk,cardamom powder and mix well cook 2-4 minutes ,add rose water,dates,cashew nut,almond switch off flame.
Serve hot/cold both are amazing delicious.
