Stuffed Tendli(Kundru)

Kundru (Ivy gourd)is known as so many name  in India as tendli,tindora,kovakkai .Stuffed kundru is very delicious ,crispy,classic  dish served as a curries.

Ingredients( 2 servings)


  • Kundru(Ivy gourd)-15-20 pieces
  • For stuffing-
    • Garlic paste-1 tsp
    • Red chili powder-1 tsp
    •  Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
    • Coriander powder-1 tsp
    • Fennel seed powder-1 tsp
    • Mango powder-1/2 tsp
    • Cumin powder-1 tsp
    • Cooking oil 3 tbsp
    • Salt-1/2 tsp to taste
    • Garam masala-1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves and green chili for garnishing

Method


Step 1 – Cut both ends and slit the kundru  in center lengthwise,donot split in two pieces,keep joint from side.

Step 2 –Heat nonstick pan and add 1 tbsp oil,add all kundru,cover it and cook 3-4 minutes in medium flame  till soft.

Step3-In a bowl take all spices,salt,garlic paste mix it keep side.

Step4-Stuff the all kundru with stuffing .

Step5-Heat nonstick pan add 2 tbsp oil ,place all stuffed kundru in hot oil, cook in medium flame in  till golden brown and turn tender with all sides it will take 6-8 minutes. Remove from heat ,garnish with fresh coriander leaves .
