Uttapam can made with,rava,oat,mix lentils and idli batter.Rava batter uttapam ,oat uttapam is instant uttapam it will take very less time.Idli batter uttapam also will make very less time when batter is ready. Mix lentils Uttapam made with soaked lentils ,it is healthy and delicious . Uttapam (mix lentils uttapam)cooked with marinated cottage cheese perfect for breakfast/lunch box/meal.
- Mix lentils(Tuar,moong,urad,chana,masoor dals) – 1 cup
- Rice flour-2 tbsp
- Semolina-1 tbsp
- Onion-1 tbsp finely chopped
- Green chili-1 chopped
- Salt-1/2 tsp to taste
- Coriander leaves-2 tsp finely chopped
- For Cottage Cheese marination
- Cottage cheese-4-5 piece
- Hung curd-1 tbsp
- Red chili powder-1/4 tsp
- Salt-1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder-1/4 tsp
- Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
- Green chutney-1/2 tsp
- Cooking/Olive oil – 1 tbsp
Step 1 –Take lentils and wash with water3-4 times .Soak mix lentils in sufficient water for overnight(6-8 Hours). After 8 hours wash soaked lentil with fresh water .
Step2-In grinder take lentils and make fine paste (if need add 2-3 tbsp water),keep aside.
step2-In a bowl take all ingredients of marination(except cottage cheese) mix well,place cottage cheese and mix it gently.Cover it and keep in freeze for 30 minutes.
Step 3 – Take mix lentil batter add rice flour,semolina,salt mix it,add chopped onion,green chili,chopped coriander leaves, mix well, cover it and keep aside for 10 minutes .
Step 4 – Heat nonstick pan and add 1 tbsp oil.Take batter with help of large round serving spoon and spread in pan.On top of batter put marinated cottage cheese. Press with spatula so that it can stick with batter well.Cover the pan and cook it for 10 minutes on medium flame
Step 5 – After 10 minutes flip it gently then cover the pan and let it cook for 10 minute on medium flame
Step 6 – Serve Uttapam with green/red coconut chutney.
