Grilled Sandwich

Grilled Sandwich is a popular sandwich  made from bread slice layered with chutney and various stuffing.Here is two types of sandwich first is Cottage cheese Grilled Sandwich,it is made with marinated cottage cheese,bell pepper,onion and green chutney.Second it Potato Sprouts raisin sandwich ,in which saute sprout mix with mashed potato raisins,spices and chopped onion.Both grilled sandwich is perfect for morning breakfast and everybody can enjoy it.Grilled sandwich is also good for kids lunch box.

Ingredients


  • Brown Bread- 8 slices

For-Cottage cheese Grilled Sandwich

  • Hung curd – 2 tbsp(homemade)
  • Paneer–250 grams,block(homemade)
  • green chutney-4 tbsp
  • cumin powder-1 tbsp
  • Black paper powder – 1tbsp
  • Salt- 1/2 tsp( as per taste)
  • Cooking oil (olive oil)-2 tbsp
  • Onion-1 cut in to stripes
  • Cashew nut powder/almond powderc-2 tbsp
  • Yellow,red bell paper – cut into stripes
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Sesame seed-1 tsp

For Potato- Sprout-Raisin Grilled sandwich-

  • Boiled potato-1
  • Onion-2 tbsp finely chopped
  • Salt-1/2 tsp
  • Black paper powder-1 tsp
  • Cumin powder-1 tsp
  • Mix Sprout-1/2 cup
  • Raisin-1 tbsp
  • Tomato- 1cut into round slice
  • Sesame seed-1 tsp
  • Green chutney-4 tbsp

Method


Step 1 – Cut paneer into cubes ,keep aside.

Step 2 –In bowl take, cumin seed powder, black paper powder, hung curd, 1 tsp oil, salt,almond powder,lemon juice mix well. Add paneer, onion, bell paper mix gently, cover it and keep in fridge for 30-50 minutes  .

Step 3 –Take 2 bread slice apply green chutney  on one side.Put 2 spoon marinated cottage cheese mixture on bread slice .Cover with second bread slice.keep in freeze for5-10 minutes it will set perfect.

Step4-Preheat the nonstick grill pan, drizzle little olive oil on grill pan.Sprinkle some sesame seed,place cold sandwich and grill it till golden grilled marks appear in both side. cut into triangle and serve hot.

Step5-Heat nonstick pan add 1 tsp oil,add sprout saute it 2-3 minute till it soft,keep aside.

Step6-In bowl take sprouts,chopped onion,mashed potato,salt raisin,cumin powder,pepper powder mix it proper keep aside.

Step7-Take 2 bread slice ,apply green chutney on one side.Put 3-4 tomato ring in one slice.Put 2 tbsp potato mixture spread it proper.Cover with second bread slice ,press it gentle .make all sandwich similar way.

Step8-Heat nonstick grill pan ,drizzle little oil on it.Sprinkle sesame seed(its optional but highly recommend please do not avoid it ,sesame seed gives crunchiness and great flavored to sandwich)  on pan ,place sandwich and cook 2-3 minutes .Turn it with spatula  and cook till golden grilled marks appear.Serve hot with tea/coffee/Juice.
