Mango jam is made of fresh ripe mangoes. It is sweet-tangy, delicious, healthy. Homemade mango jam is very easy to make without any color/preservatives/pectin. Sweet level can be choose according to taste. Jam is perfect combination for any bread, roti and sandwich cookies/tart.
- Ripe mango – 2 cup
- Sugar –2 tbsp (as per taste)
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Cinnamon stick – 1 piece
Step 1 – Wash, peel and chop mangoes and keep aside. Sterilize bottle with boiling water and dry it properly then keep aside.
Step 2 -Take chopped mangoes in blander make smooth puree.
Step 3 -Take one saucepan and add mango puree, lemon juice then mix it and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes in medium flame. Add sugar and cook it for another 15-18 minutes with stirring. Add cinnamon stick and cook 2-3 more minutes. Check 1 tsp cooked mixture in one clean plate and keep it there for 10 seconds then divide syrup with finger, if it gets separated properly that means that it is cooked properly. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
Step 4 – Pour Mango jam in sterilized bottle. Store in a cool, dark place/refrigerator.
