Cauliflower Paratha(Punjabi Recipe)

Cauliflower paratha is  originated from Punjab, India. This is predominantly popular  breakfast in India. Soft, healthy cauliflower and  flavored with spices  gives mouthwatering taste.

Ingredients


  • Cauliflower-1 cup grated
  • Whole wheat flour- 2 cup
  • All purpose flour -1/2 cup
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp to taste
  • Red chili flakes – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice-1/2 tsp
  • Green chili -1/2 tsp finely chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
  • cooking oil/butter-2 tbsp

Method


Step 1 – Take both  flour  in a bowl, add 1 tsp oil, salt and make soft,smooth dough with  water  (knead 10 minutes),cover it and keep aside for 20 minutes.

Step 2 – Heat nonstick pan add 1 tbsp oil add ginger garlic paste cook 1 minutes add all spices and cauliflower  mix well cook in high flame for 3-4 minutes  cool it(or Take grated cauliflower,salt, cumin powder garlic powder,red chili flakes in microwave safe bowl and cook 3 minutes cool it )for 10 minutes then add lemon juice and coriander leaves mix well keep aside, cool it completely.

Step 3 – Take lemon size ball from dough and  flatten it by pressing  make like small bowl,  put 1 tbsp cauliflower  mixture inside and close it proper and again make it into a ball .

Step 4 – Press the filled ball  gently in dry flour  ,using a rolling pin roll  the ball make 6 inch circles.

Step 5 – Heat nonstick tava(griddle)  and add 1tsp oil/butter place paratha and cook in low medium flame when the paratha begin start puff up  flip it gentle apply  little oil/butter on paratha and  flip  paratha again,apply oil/butter and cook proper in both side  3-4 minutes. Make all paratha similar way and serve hot/cold  with curd/raita.
