Radish(Mooli) Paratha is originated from Punjab, India. This is very popular healthy breakfast in India. Crispy, flaky, flavored with spices totally delicious & healthy. Radish Paratha can be made by various methods and also using different flours like total wheat flour,chickpea flour, 1/2 part wheat flour and 1/2 part chick flour.
- For Radish Paratha
- Whole wheat flour-2 cup
- Radish-2 cup grated
- Salt – 1/2 tsp to taste
- Black paper powder – 1/2tsp
- Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
- Chaat masala – 1/2tsp
- Coriander leaves-2 tbsp finely chopped
- Cooking oil/butter/ghee – 2 tbs
- for Fruit Raita-
- Curd-1 cup(homemade)
- Strawberry,Red grapes,Apricot(all type soft fruits)-1 cup chopped
- Black salt-1 pinch
- Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
- Black paper powder-1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves-1 tsp finely chopped
- Honey-1 tsp
Step1 –Take grated radish in microwave safe bowl and cook 2-3 minutes till it became soft and little dry.Cool it completely,keep aside.
Step2-Take flour in a bowl, add 1 tsp oil, salt, cumin powder, black paper powder, chaat masala,cooled radish,coriander leaves and make soft, smooth dough (knead 10 minutes,donot add water,) then cover it and keep aside for 5 minutes.
Step3 – Take lemon size ball from dough,dust little wheat flour on rolling board and roll it with the help of rolling pin,make round disc ,( use fork/ knife press the edges ,it is optional but it makes paratha puffy when cook so do not missed it) .
Step4 – Heat nonstick pan place paratha on it and cook in medium flame, drizzle little oil /butter turn it. Cook both sides of paratha till it becomes golden brown and crispy. Make all paratha similar way.
Serve Radish Paratha hot with fruit raita.
