Semolina Strawberry halwa is twist to regular semolina halwa. It is healthy delicious, less sugar, fruity flavor, easy to make and good for kids.
Ingredients (For 2-3 serving)
- Semolina – 1 cup
- Strawberry – 1 cup finely chopped
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Coconut powder – 2 tsp (optional)
- Cashew nut powder – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Step 1– In grinder take chopped strawberry and grind it and make puree.
Step 2 – Heat nonstick pan, add ghee then add semolina and roast it in medium flame for 6-8 minutes till it gets nice golden brown in color with stirring. Add 1 cup warm water and mix it, cover it and cook in low flame 2-3 minutes.
Step 3 – Add strawberry puree in semolina mix it and cook in low flame for 3-5 minutes, when semolina gets puffy and mix with strawberry well. Add sugar and cardamom powder, cashew nut powder mix well and cook it for 5 minutes. Remove from flame and garnish with coconut powder/bura/grated coconut and strawberry .
NOTE- In this recipe, I have used cookie cutter and given shape to halwa and garnish with coconut bura and fresh strawberry.
