Golgappa Puri is one of the most famous street food in all part of India. This can be made at home very easily.Many different ways this Golgappa Puri can be served like Pani Puri, Dahi Puri, Sev Puri etc.. My recipe here is for basic Golgappa Puri preparation.
Ingredients (For 2o-30 pieces)
- All purpose flour – 1 tbsp
- Semolina –1 cup
- Corn flour – 1tbsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
- Baking powder – 1 pinch
- Cooking oil for deep frying
Step 1 – In a bowl add flour, semolina, salt, baking soda, powder and mix it well. Add cold water and knead. Make semi stiff/hard dough cover it with a damp cloth and keep aside for 30 minutes.
Step 2 – After 3o minutes kneed once again and cut dough to 3 to 5 pieces. Take one piece and with the help of rolling pin roll out it 7” diameter circle(not very thin). Take a cookie cutter/round shaped cutter, cut it. Cut all the disc similar way and keep aside.
Step 3 – Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the poori in the hot oil. When poori fully puffed up turn it and cook in low flame for 1-2 minutes. Turn poori 2-3 times and fry in low flame for another 4-5 minutes so that it becomes more crispy. Take it out and keep in tissue paper.
Cool it for 1-2 hours (it will dry completely),store in air-tight container. Enjoy it with like Pani Puri, Dahi Puri, Sev Puri …. as per your taste.
