Sandesh is very delicious, easy to make. This is one of very special sweet prepared on every special Bengali occasion. Sandesh can be made in different designs and flavors like chocolate, cashew nut, fresh fruit. Here is my recipe for basic Sandesh.
Ingredients (For 6 to 8 pieces)
- Fresh paneer – 1 cup(homemade)
- Powder sugar – 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
- Dry fruits -any type
- Ghee – 1 tsp
Step1 – In a bowl take paneer, sugar and kneed it for 7-10 minutes.
Step2 – Heat nonstick pan, add 1 tsp ghee and paneer, sugar mixture in low flame. Cook it for 7-10 minutes then remove from heat and add cardamom powder, mix it, cool it properly.
Take small lemon size ball from dough. Give any shape(as per your choice) and put some dry fruits. Make rest in similar way.You can use Sandesh mold and make different designs.Keep it in refrigerator for around 2 hours and then its ready for serve.
