Egg-less Italian Herbs Bread is a bread topped with chili flakes, olive oil, Italian herbs baked and sliced. It is very delicious and very easy to make. You can have it any time (lunch/ dinner).
- All purpose flour –1.5cup
- Yeast-1 tsp (instant)
- Salt-1/2 tsp
- Sugar-1/2 tsp
- Butter melted-2tbs
- Milk powder-1 tbsp
- Milk-1/2 cup(warm)
- Milk and butter-for brushing
- Garlic clove-3-4
- Olive oil- 1tbsp
- Dried oregano seasoning-1-2 tsp(Italian herbs)
- Garlic powder-1/2 tsp
- Chili flakes-1/2 tsp
- Dried basil -1-2 tsp(Italian herbs)
- Corn meal-1 tbs
- Parmesan Cheese-2 tbsp grated
Step 1 – In a bowl take warm milk, sugar, yeast and mix then keep aside for 5 minutes.
Step 2 – Take flour in one bowl, add salt, milk powder and yeast mixture then mix it and knead 5 minutes, add butter and kneed for 10 minutes. Cover dough and keep aside for 1 hour.
Step 3 –After 1 hour open dough will be rise and double-triple in size, punch it add oregano, basil, garlic powder, garlic paste, olive oil and mix it then knead for 5-8 minute. Cover dough proper and keep in refrigerator for minimum 10-15 hours.
Step 4 – Take out dough from refrigerator and cut in to two parts.
Step 5 – Preheat oven to 350f/180c for 10 minutes. line baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease keep aside
Step 6 – Sprinkle corn flour on rolling board, keep one dough and roll it round sprinkle some oregano, basil and flip one side to make semi circle. Press it proper and place it on baking tray. Cut into bred stick brush with milk and butter sprinkle some oregano, basil,chill flakes, grated Parmesan cheese on upside place on preheat oven to 180c for 20 minutes.Take out from baking tray.
Serve hot as appetizer or table bread.
