Soft, flavored Garlic-Cilantro Knot is very easy to make and you can have it any time.
- All purpose flour –1.5cup
- Yeast-2 tsp (instant)
- Salt-1/2 tsp
- Sugar-1 tsp
- Olive oil-2tbsp
- Milk/Water-1/2 cup(warm)
- Milk and butter-for brushing
- Curd-1 tbsp
- Baking powder-1/2 tsp
- Garlic clove-3-4
- Garlic salt-1/2 tsp(optional)
- Cilantro-2 tbsp finely chopped
- Dried oragano-1 tsp
- Dried Basil-1 tsp
Step 1 – In a bowl take warm milk, sugar, yeast and mix then keep aside for 5 minutes. Add 2 tbsp flour mix on it and keep aside for another 5 minutes. After that add curd and mix well.
Step 2 – Take flour in one bowl add salt, baking powder and yeast mixture then mix it well. Knead it for 5 minutes then add olive oil and kneed 5 minutes. Add all herbs, crushed garlic, salt and mix it proper then kneed for 5-10 minutes. Cover dough and keep aside for 1 hour.
Step 3 – Mix crushed garlic and cilantro, olive oil for brushing keep aside.
Step 4 – After 1 hour open dough, it will rise and become double-triple in size. Punch it, cut dough in two parts. Take one part dough and roll on rolling board with the help of rolling pin into thick circle.
Step 5 – Use any knife/ cutter and cut it into pieces, roll each piece into rope,tie each rope into a knot keep aside.
Step 6 – Preheat oven to 350f/180c for 10 minutes. Take line baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease then keep aside.
Step 7 – Place Knot on baking tray, brushing with garlic cilantro, olive oil and cover it for 45 minutes.
Step 8 – After 45 minutes give milk -butter brushing to all Knot, keep baking tray on preheat oven 180c for10-12 minutes till golden on top. Cool it .
- Resting period is very important do not avoid it.
- You can garnish with extra cilantro and butter/any cheese/Red chili flakes.
