Egg-less Basic Donut(Doughnut)

Donut is round baked. Basic donuts is very easy to make and you can have it any time. One of favorite of kids.

Ingredients(10-12 Donut)


  • All purpose  flour – 1.5cup
  • Yeast – 2 tsp (instant)
  • Salt – 1pinch
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Butter melted – 2tbs
  • Milk powder -2 tbsp
  • Milk – 1/2 cup(warm)
  • Milk and butter – For brushing
  • Curd – 1 tbsp
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp

Method


Step 1 – In a bowl take  warm milk, sugar, yeast then mix it and keep aside for 5 minutes. Add 2 tbsp flour and mix it, keep aside for 5 more minutes then add curd  and mix well.

Step 2 – Take flour in one bowl, add salt, milk powder, baking powder and yeast mixture and mix it well and knead for 5 minutes then add butter and again kneed for 10 more minutes. Cover dough and keep aside for 1 hour.

Step3 – After 1 hour open dough, it rises and becomes double-triple in size. Punch it and cut dough in two parts. Take one part dough and roll on rolling board with the help of rolling pin  into thick circle.

Step4 –Use any round cookie cutter and cut it then small round shape cutter use and cut in to center. Make all similar way .

Step5 – Preheat oven to 350f/180c for 10 minutes.  Take line baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease keep aside

Step6 -Place donut on baking tray and cover it for 45 minutes.

Step 7 – After 45 min give milk -butter brushing to all donuts, keep baking tray on preheat oven 180c for 6-8 minutes till just   golden on top. Cool it  .

Note :- Resting period is very important do not avoid it.
