Almond Chutney

Almond Chutney is rich creamy, healthy, delicious and goes very well all south Indian dishes idli, dosa, medu vada and akki roti.

Ingredients (serving-2)

  • Almond – 1/2 cup
  • Roasted chana dal – 2 tbsp
  • Whole Red chili -1
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp to taste
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  • Juggery – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 5 to 6
  • Mustard seed – 1/2 tsp
  • Urad dal – 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili – 1
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  • Cooking oil – 1tbsp


Step 1 – Heat pan and dry roast almond in low flame 6-9 minutes.

Step 2- In grinder take curd,salt,green chili, roasted chana dal,almond, juggery and coriander leaves make fine paste.

Step 3 – Heat oil in pan add mustard seed, when seed crackle add urad dal roast urad dal until it gets brown in color then add curry leaves ,whole red chili, pour chutney . Switch off flame and mix it proper.

Serve with  idli/dosa/uttapam/medu vada.
