Red Coconut Chutney is little spicy chutney due to presence of red chili and garlic.
- Coconut – 1/2 cup fresh grated
- Roasted chana dal – 2 tbsp
- Whole Red chili -2
- Salt – 1/2 tsp to taste
- Curd -1 /2 cup
- Curry leaves – 5 to 6
- Mustard seed – 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal – 1/2 tsp
- Garlic – 3 to 4 cloves
- Cooking oil – 1tbsp
Step 1 – In grinder take curd,coconut, salt, red chili, roasted chana dal, garlic and make fine paste.
Step 2 – Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seed, when seed crackle add urad dal roast urad dal until it gets brown color then add curry leaves, pour chutney then switch off flame. Mix it properly.
Serve with idli/dosa/uttapam/medu vada!!!
