Eggless Pav Bread/Buns

Pav bread/Buns is fresh super soft, moist, light, fluffy. It is used in pav bhaji/batata vada/dinner rolls.

Ingredients(10-12 pieces)

  • All purpose  flour –2 cup
  • Yeast-2 tsp (instant)
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Olive oil – 2tbs
  • Milk powder – 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Milk – 3/4 cup(warm)
  • Milk and butter for brushing


Step 1 – In a bowl take  warm milk, sugar and  mix it then keep aside 5 minutes.

Step 2 – Take flour in one bowl add salt, milk powder and yeast mixture then mix it and knead for 5 minutes. Add olive oil and kneed for 10 minutes, cover dough and keep aside for 1 hour.

Step 3 – After 1 hour open dough will be rise and double-triple in size, punch it and kneed 2-3 minutes, cut it and make small ball.

Step 4 – Place ball  into a greased  bread loaf pan,give space between ball  cover loaf pan and keep aside for 1 hour.

Step 5 – Preheat oven to 350f/180c for 10 minutes.  Bake it for 15 minutes .

Step 6 – After 1 hour ball become double in size gentle apply milk and butter on ball properly and place pan on preheat oven to 180 for 15 minutes.

Step 7 – After 15 min take out pan and cool pan for 10 minutes, remove pav  on wire rack and cool properly.


  • Resting period is very important do not avoid it.
  • Knead proper for first rising at least 15 minutes.
