Badam Katli

Almond(Badam) is rich in fiber, protein, vitamin E. This is one of the most popular healthy sweet dish for all time.Almond Katli  is made from soaked ,peeled almond.Almond Katli can store at room temperature for 2-3 days .

Ingredients (serving- 12 )

  • Sugar(powder) –1/2 cup
  • Milk-1/2 cup
  • Almond-1 cup
  • Cardamon powder – 1tsp
  • Rose water – 1 tsp (Optional)
  • Saffron-some strand
  • Ghee -2 tbsp
  • Hot water-6-7 cup


Step 1  – Take  3 cup of hot water and add almond and cover it for 30 minutes.

Step 2 – After 30 minutes transfer almond  into 2-3 cup cold water,and peel of all almonds(remove skin).

Step 3 – Take all almond and add 2-3 cup hot water and cover it,keep aside for 2 hours.

Step 4 – After  2 hours take almond,milk,saffron in grinder and make fine pest.

Step 5 – Heat non stick pan, add  ghee  and pour almond pest, sugar and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes until mixture becomes thick solid. Add cardamom powder and rose water. Cool it for 10 minute .

Step 6 – After 10 minute take cool mixture and kneed 8 to 10 minute. Place dough in butter paper. With the help of rolling pin roll into 1/3 cm thin  and cut in to any of your favorite shape.

NOTE : Cook almond mixture in low medium heat until mixture looks  dough like structure.
