Paneer Tawa Masala with Naan

Naan is  originated from South  Asia. It is also popular in Middle East. Fluffy, soft Naan can be served with any kofta/paneer curry. Paneer tawa masala is very easy and delicious  and best complement for any Naan/Roti.


  • For Naan
    • All  purpose flour – 1+1/2  cup
    • Salt – 1/2 tsp as per taste
    • Sugar – 1 tsp
    • Baking powder – 1/4 tsp
    • Milk – 1/4  cup luke warm
    • Yogurt – 1/2 cup
    • Yeast – 1tsp
    • Oil – 1 tbsp
  •  For Paneer  Tawa Masala
    • Paneer- 1 block 250 gram(Homemade)
    • Cumin seed -1/2+1/2 TSP
    • Tomato – 2 medium
    • Onion – 1 finely chopped
    • Cashew nut  – 5 to 7
    • Garlic – 3 to 4
    • Whole red chili – 2
    • Red chili  powder-1/2 tsp
    • Whole black paper -1/2 tsp
    • Kasuri methi-1 tsp
    • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
    • Tawa  Masala -1 tsp
    • Salt-1/2 tsp(as per taste)


Step 1 – Take  all flour  in a bowl, add, baking powder, sugar,yeast ,milk, yogurt, mix it,add salt and make soft,smooth dough(knead 10 minutes), cover it and keep aside for 2 hours.

Step 2 – Take lemon size ball from dough , apply little oil on ball cover for 10 minutes.

 Step 3 – After 10 minute take ball  keep on rolling board and roll out with help of rolling pin/  press with hand and flatten.

Step 4 –  Heat inverted  tawa in high flame .

Step 5 -Take  flatten naan and put some water on both side and place on hot griddle/tawa’

Step 6 – When naan  bubbling and dough start drying then turn griddle cook naan in above flame, it will fully puff,remove from heat. Apply butter serve hot.

Step 7 – Cut paneer in big dice keep aside.

Step 8 -Take 1/2 cup water add,chopped tomato, chopped garlic, whole red chili, cashew nut cook in8-10 till all water absorbed.Cool it .

Step 9 – In grinder take cool  tomato mixture and make fine paste, keep aside.

Step 10 -Heat nonstick pan add oil in medium hot oil fry paneer.

Step 11 – Take water in one big bowl and deep all fried paneer in water,keep aside.

Step 12 -Take1/2 tsp cumin seed, 1/2 tsp/whole black paper,1tsp kasuri methi dry roast it and make coarse powder, keep aside.

Step 13 -In same nonstick pan, add cumin when cumin crackle add  chopped onion  cook till they turn golden, add tomato paste cook till oil separate from tomato, add salt, chili powder, garam masala, tawa masala, add fried paneer mix gentle cook 1 minute.Add roasted powder serve hot with naan.
