Kaju (Cashew nut) is good for glowing skin, good for hairs, good for hearts and helps in blood formation RBCs. Kaju Katli is very popular thin sweets made with cashew nut powder.It is very easy to make within 40-45 minutes and it can store in airtight container at room temperature for 10-15 days.
- Cashew nut coarse powder – 2 cups
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Saffron – few threads
- Cardamom powder-1/2 tsp
- Ghee-1 tsp
Step 1 – Heat non-stick pan then add water & sugar and boil it,just dissolve sugar and cook 1-2 minutes .
Step 2 – Add cashew nut powder and mix it proper. Cook it for 5-7 minutes in medium flame. Add ghee, saffron,cardamom powder, then keep it aside and let it cool for 10 minutes.
Step 3 – Knead proper and make like dough
Step 4 – On rolling board place one big aluminum foil/ parchment paper and put dough on it
Step 5 – With rolling pin roll to round or thin circle
Step 6 – Cut with a knife in diamond shape. After 10 minutes it’s ready to be served.
Note : Use of aluminum foil avoids using of grease.
